Free counseling is provided to eligible families participating in the Links to Homeownership Program as well as those applying for MSHDA/FHA, MSHDA/Conventional or Rural Development loans or other MSHDA (Michigan State Housing Development Authority) loan programs such as the Acquisition Rehabilitation Program. The Counseling Network assists prospective homeowners in understanding the home buying process, evaluation of their financial situation, and negotiating the purchase of a quality home.
